Deal Flow and Recruiting
Our deal sourcing team is on a mission to find the next Michael Dell, Sara Blakely, or Emily Weiss. Members of the Deal Sourcing team identify and engage Longhorn leaders and innovators on every corner of campus. You will gain experience with boots on the ground marketing by attending entrepreneurial events across campus and Austin, and meeting new people in degree programs across the university.
Awareness, Events, and Media
Awareness of our brand, operations, and impact is a top priority for Genesis. A widespread brand will help us attract the best student entrepreneurs and investors. Events, Awareness and Media team members are responsible for creating world-class events and content for the UT Austin community.
Website and Content
The Website & Content team is responsible for delivering Genesis’ online persona. When someone new to Genesis lands on our website, blog or other social media, it’s critical that these outlets provide an amazing first impression. The Website & Content team is responsible for making sure all Genesis’ efforts are well represented online from our signature events to our portfolio companies.
Operations is directly responsible for creating and implementing structures that empower the Genesis team to move together and scale rapidly. This is a perfect role for those seeking a career in consulting,product management, project management, or operations,given that you’ll be responsible for optimizing processes and building solutions to help Genesis run efficiently.
Due Diligence is directly responsible for evaluating the market potential for companies in the Genesis deal pipeline. Venture Partners and Analysts interview founders interested in receiving Genesis capital and conduct secondary research on products, markets, and financial and legal structures of companies.
The Genesis Portfolio Management team is responsible for fostering opportunities for and providing services to Genesis portfolio companies. We help our companies go from receiving funding to achieving their goals by leveraging the power of the Genesis network and our unique capabilities as operators. This team is a perfect fit for those deeply interested in the startup community and those seeking a career with a startup, tech companies, or within venture capital.
